description About
Righty then, my name is Bonza (nick name) and I'm a twenty year old bloke from Australia (or "down under" to some of you.)
I've been writing since the age of about nine, my mum still has the first story I wrote for her. Needless to say, it isn't even remotely good, but it certainly did set a precedent for later life :)
I write whenever I find myself with some free time from my hectic work and social life. Usually I just write whatever pops into my head and pass the results onto my friends for judgment.
After stumbling across a Harry Potter fan-fic site, (not an adult one mind,) I decided to try my hand at writing Fan-fics rather than original works. In some ways, it's easier, as you already have a solid footing to work from, your audience already knows the characters, so you don't really have to introduce them. However, in other ways it is actually more of a challenge, because if you make your characters deviate too much from their originals then you are quite likely to miss out on readers.
I'm a firm believer that reviews are a necessary part of writing. How else does an aspiring writer know whether he or she is going down the right track? Even if I don't like a fic that I read, I still leave a review, letting the author know my reasons and also anything they could do to improve. Constructive criticism is just as important as praise, if not more so. All the same, leaving a review along the lines of "That was crap" isn't a nice thing to see.
So, enough about me and my beliefs, I'm sure that I'll be posting fics as soon as I get my plot bunnies back in their respective cages, darn things seem to have made another break for freedom.
