That's a quote I made on another site that I figured would be relevant here. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. To me, anything regarding true originality, innovation, and imagination, in this culture doesn't compare with what I get when I watch/read/experience anything from the Japanese culture.
From the moment I began watching anime films, series, reading mangas, magazines, even playing games at the age of 5 - I sensed something more significant; more fulfilling, in what flows from Japanese culture, media, and art.
And when I learned about the designation of adult sub-categories, namely the yaoi! - I became addicted to this site, in particular.
I've already read dozens of great stories by great writers, and in a way it's good to know there seems to be quite a few people out there that feel the way I do. I'm sure TONS of people in the U.S., for one, would feel works like these are nothing short of abominations - on the contrary, I see them as proof that true imagination and a refusal to fear one's own desires and preferences actually still does exist.
Seriously (I can never go back to conventional pornography again x D), this site, so far, actually is giving me confidence in myself!!! And with my niche as a writer, I hope to be gaining reviews on some uploaded works of my own very soon!
