I'm an old broad from Chicago, IL USA who reads too much manga for her age, LOL! But I seriously do believe the Japanese have much better comics(manga) and cartoons(anime) than the repressed and censor happy USA where everything has to be watered down. I prefer fansubs for this very reason since "official" English versions are altered far too much in the US.
