I've been reading fanfiction for Way Too Long. It started with general Harry Potter 'ships while I impatiently awaited the release of Book 5. I quickly fell into an enduring love affair with the Character Severus (via OfAge!Hermione, many Mary Sues, and the occasional Well Written Original Character). Alan Rickman is just another reason "Teh Movies" should never have been made. "My Snape" was so much hotter! I cried when Severus bit the dust in Book 7--just a little bit. :-P C'est la vie, or whatever. It amuses me when people put a lot of effort in resurrecting his character, because it's Fantasy, remember? I'd read it if you said he hitched a ride with the tooth fairy. Every once in a great while I'll check out fanfiction for the Matrix, Predator, or Star Trek (I'm a mild fan of the 90s Shows/Movies but I only care about the fanfic for the latest movie). Right now I've suddenly come down with the hots for Agent Smith. Hmmm...Agent Smith, Severus Snape, Spock--lol, I'm rather predictable! I wrote one disastrous fanfic about five years ago and I have finally plucked up with guts to do it again (with better results this time, I hope!). The plot is epic length though, so I think I'll just wade in with a couple of one-shots. I need a beta. ;-) I've never beta'd. I read a lot and try to review a lot. I really have gotten so much enjoyment out of fanfiction over the years. I owe a lot to to all the great fanfic writers out there! I'm on fanfiction.net as madura.
