One day several years back I discovered that there was free manga to be had online. Some of these amazing manga weren't even translated to buy here in the states yet but some super awesome folks who knew Japanese (yes, I am envious!) had been kind enough to scanlate them for us otakus. I've never stopped reading manga since! Not long after I begin to feel bored (like I'd read all the good shojo/shounen and played the same old RPGs too many times) I accidentally stumbled upon some yaoi. Not knowing what it was, I read it anyway. By the time I realized it was steaming hawt boyxboy smex, I was already addicted. I've since read almost ALL of the yaoi that's available online and even some of the yaoi novels I finally caved into buying. Loving yaoi is a curse. Though I must add that it's a delicious curse.
Every time I watch movies now I can't help but start pairing men as uke/seme couples. I giggle in anticipation of yaoi-rape-smex when the bad guy gets the good guy into submission during a fight. Creepy of me? Probably. Still think it's hot? Definitely! I'll stop blabbering now and get to the point. Actually, one more blabber about blabbering. Everyone knows villains love to blabber. Evil laughs and plotting come to me naturally so please forgive my villainous heart. Anyway, main point! I LOVE to write. I'm working on a few different plots for novels/short stories. These include 2 for yaoi kicks (ones a middle ages, fantasy setting and the other is pirates) and one serious heterosexual one that has been paused since I discovered yaoi. I've actually been thinking about making it into a yaoi by changing up the plot a bit. As much as I enjoy writing, I am bad to NEVER share my work. In fact, I have 3 different passwords to protect my story files on my computer! I need to break this habit so I was thinking I'd try my hand at writing some fanfiction. I have not wrote any fanfiction since I was in 6th grade but I've always been a fan of it. So, please be gentle! I'll try and type up one or two and see how it goes. If you were able to stand me long enough to read this profile, then I thank you! I'll pretend to send you imaginary hugs/kiss and you can pretend that you enjoyed them! I am going to be starting a test story called 'Prison Paradise' and be posting it soon. I don't have any beta readers because I'm really new to this, but I usually proof read it several times myself and get one of my friends to check over it. I hope you guys enjoy it! I've got several other stories floating around in my head but I think I'll give this one a shot first. Prison Paradise: Kevin, a troubled youth who has lived a hard life, was picked up by police while sleeping on a park bench. He allowed himself to be arrested in hopes of getting a free meal and a warm place to sleep, but things didn't go as he'd planned. Unforeseen events force him to break out of jail, but his escape is cut short by a sleeping dart. Upon awakening, Kevin finds that he is one of a handful of criminals being sent to test out a new, isolated prison on a remote island. It is a prison without fences, cells, or even guards. Can the isolated prisoners find the errors of their ways in this new environment and return home? Can Kevin allow himself to trust, and maybe even love, a stranger? M/M Romance. Slash. Yaoi.
