"
Evenfall is book 1 of four book series:

Evenfall Book 1/ Afterimage Book 2/ Interlude/ Fade Book 3

The entire series can be found, with additional side stories, on the authors' website, 'In the Company of Shadows':

http://www.aisylum.com/sonnyais/icos/story.html

Breathtaking post-apocalyptic world, where two individuals from two highly contrasting histories, are forced to work together for an organisation hidden behind the guise of pharmaceutical research and development, to maintain order and stop rebels/terrorists working against the social and political agenda.

One of those who work for the organisation is an assassin/spy the best and most unique in his field. No one has yet come close to his abilities or skills. However, he is considered unstable and dangerous, and is feared by the organisation itself, who continue to require his skills and services.

In order to reign in his personality and less stable traits, he is assigned a partner, a partner who has never worked in the field of espionage. A civilian, ignorant to the practises and laws of the organisation and the long reaching consequences of his assignment.

The road to this friendship is almost unforgiving.

This detailed world is riddled with the assessment of basic human needs, their rights and personal infringements. The psychology behind characters flaws, prejudices, and most of all, the need to survive. It asks the reader many questions, but the most important of all, ‘How do you survive in world where you are so in-bedded in the system, that your life is determined by they system?’

It is an intricate and structured piece of work, complex and strong willed. An action move in text, where the intensity is in the detail.

A tempered read that embraces the probabilities of a mirrored futuristic regime.
"
