Slow-building, unspoken romance peppered with delightful, in character, Orihime kindness. Of course the whole ‘forced childbearing’ thing was a bit disgruntling but in the context of the fic it wasn’t quite so bad as I’d normally find it.

This fic is sooooo funny. You’d think from the first chapter that the entire thing would be just a smut fest but it’s mainly just sexually charged humour, here’s a quote from chapter 5  “Mayuri was totally fuckable. Under all that paint and crazy was bona fide sexy piece of man candy. What a waste.” Seriously, this is the funniest bleach fic I’ve ever read. I feel a little guilty in that it objectifies men but that’s kinda the whole joke.

I love Grimmjow/Karin & Ulquiorra/Orihime, and any fic with Tatsuki in a pairing is gold dust to me. Overall, I like these relationships, and the way the author plays with them, enough to like the fic. There are lots of things I dislike though. The fic violated my sacred anti-children rule while the Yammy/Byakuya bits kept me up at night shivering in horror, not in a good way or because it’s yaoi.

The author would say I could’ve skipped those parts, and after [suggestions of forced mpreg] (spoiler, highlight to read) I gave in and started to. But just knowing it was happening in the same universe that I was immersing myself in was enough to make me stop reading.
