I started writing fanfiction out of frustration with hentai. I understand it is a male dominated industry and will continue to target men until the ladies take it over. What bothers me is the complete lack of variety. It's usually beautiful women with incredibly unattractive men--or unlikely men [the scrawny ones who have impossibly big dicks to make up for their otherwise complete lack of personality]. I don't like yaoi or yuri; it just doesn't do anything for me. I have a lot of friends who do like it though, mainly because a lot of the men are really hott.
In addition to this, there is no plot. I like dialogue setting the stage. I don't have to have love in my hentai, but I would appreciate some backstory. Sometimes I admit I don't mind the random hook-ups but a lot of the time it gets boring. I've exhausted the smut out there [I don't think anyone translates anything other than Black Bird and I still say it isn't smit].
Why can't I watch hott sex between sexy people? The world may never know. My partner loves those Z-cup jugs. I usually don't. And readers, the doujinshii follows the same rules. There's only a handful of writers who are faithful to the original artists depiction. The rest muck it up.
My fetishes will be reflected in my writing: I like to read rape, non/consent reluctance, domination, male tsundere, and psychological twists. Every now and then I like a sweet romance. My friends wonder how a feminist could embrace these types of things so I want to explain: fantasy is different from reality. What makes rape fantasy different? Control. A fantasy can be ended at any time. The reader has that control.
A real-life rape cannot, and that is the real horror of the rapes we see everyday: women, and men, forced to do what they do not want to do. The point I am trying to make is that just because somebody enjoys reading smutty writings depicting things in no way means that they actually endorse them in real life. Some people don't believe this. Well they're wrong.
Also, a word of caution, I sometimes depict sex between minors and adults. Not children, but legally, minors. I sometimes write things involving fourteen year olds which is below the age of legal consent and I think that can make some people uncomfortable so another warning. Oddly, this usually doesn't bother people.
