I was first introduced to fanfiction around 2002 after I stumbled upon some Dragonball Z fanfiction. I was initially confused, horrified (some of the stuff I found was waaay past my comfort zone), and integued.
My initial fandoms were Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Dragonball Z, but I eventually branched out to Lord of the Rings, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Carribean. By the time I went to college, I was introduced to Bleach, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim, ... and through these fandoms I was exposed to lore.
